About this role

Location

Storgatan 2, Sweden

This is a summer position with exceptional opportunities for students currently pursuing studies at a university. At Alleima, we provide students with the chance to gain handson experience and insight into professional life, helping them understand what it means to work within specialized business areas. You will experience the dynamic interplay between technology, strategy, and people.

Together with us, you will contribute to development, innovation, and longterm success in an international environment by leading a focused project that forms a key part of one of our strategic Corporate Development initiatives.

Assignment

The primary responsibility for this assignment is to support Alleima’s M&A function in developing an Alleima specific Transaction Multiples Database. You will work with subscribed tools available to Alleima, and evaluate additional external tools, to build a structured data repository of acquisition transactions relevant to our industry.

This database will serve as an important reference point in assessing acquisition opportunities, valuation benchmarks, pricing context, and strategic fit.

Your task will include:

  • Collecting, validating, and structuring raw M&A transaction data

  • Designing a database with fields relevant for Alleima, such as year, business relevance, geography, growth profile, deal characteristics, and valuation multiples

  • Analysing trends and identifying key insights from transactions

  • Creating summaries, visualizations, and documentation for use by Alleima’s Corporate Development and business leadership teams

  • Actively participating in shaping the final structure of the database and methodology

This role is an excellent opportunity to apply and demonstrate the analytical, financial, and strategic skills developed during your studies — and to gain valuable exposure to M&A processes in a global industrial company.

About you

We are looking for a master’s student in finance, industrial engineering, business administration, economics, data analytics, or another relevant field. You have solid skills in the Microsoft Office suite and are comfortable working with digital tools and data. As we operate in an international environment, you communicate fluently in both Swedish and English.

Personal qualities are essential for this role. You are analytical, solutionoriented, and have a strong interest in corporate strategy, valuation, and financial analysis. You are curious, collaborative, and confident in communicating your findings. You enjoy both independent work and teamwork.

Duration and location

The assignment runs for 6 weeks and begins as soon as summer studies conclude. The position is based in Sandviken, where accommodation is provided together with other summer technology students.
