The Registered Radiologic Technologist provides professional technical care through the operation of complex equipment to produce high quality radiographs. This individual collaborates with the Radiologist, department manager and other team members in developing, implementing and evaluating department procedures and protocols. This position has direct patient care, access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with the Radiologist, manager, and other team members. This position works under the indirect supervision of the Radiology Team Lead.
Essential Job Functions:
| 1. | Accurate, complete and legible documentation of all patient information. |
| 2. | Organized, timely and accurate completion of procedures relative to department standards. |
| 3. | Utilizes effective communication to ensure customer identification, education, safety and satisfaction. |
| 4. | Provides accurate and timely communication and documentation of all variations from protocol. |
| 5. | When applicable, accurate administration of contrast material (oral and IV) and successful venipuncture per department protocol. |
| 6. | Provides appropriate interventions with patients/families of all age groups: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric. |
| 7. | Provides accurate and timely communication and documentation of equipment variations. |
| 8. | Complies with department, state and federal guidelines for radiation protection. Accurate collimation and shielding used appropriate to department protocols. |
Minimum Qualifications:
| Required: | RRT - Registered Radiologic Technologist with Current Ohio License |
| Required: | BLS - Basic Life Support |
| Preferred: | 1-2 years | Diagnostic Radiology experience |
