Adena Health is looking for a highly motivated Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Occupational Health team. Occupational Health includes a wide range of services designed to keep workers healthy and safe at work. We ensure that injured workers return to work safely.

Position Summary for Medical Assistant: The Certified-Registered Medical Assistant (MA) provides professional care through the application of clinical skills and processes to assigned patients. This individual provides direct care and works collaboratively with other members of the care team to achieve optimal patient care. This incumbent has access to confidential patient information, provides direct patient care, and functions clinically under the direct supervision of the physician. If working in a Scribe role this individual enters information into the Electronic Medical Record or Chart at the direction of a physician or licensed independent practitioner. The Scribe does not and may not act independently but documents the physician's or licensed independent practitioner's dictation and/or activities. This incumbent also reports to the practice manager or designee.
Required Educational Degree: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or LPN, RN with Current Ohio license
Major/Area of Concentration: Medical Assisting. Nursing, LPN, RN
Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). Successful completion of Adena skills assessment and written test annually. BLS - Basic Life Support
Required Experience: 1-2 years experience in medical office or similar capacity. Medical office experience preferred. 1-2 years experience in similar capacity if acting in the Scribe role.
Position Summary for Licensed Practical Nurse: The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes to assigned patients. This individual provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other members of the care team to achieve optimal patient care. This incumbent has access to confidential patient information, provides direct patient care, has the authority to make independent decisions within scope of practice, and functions clinically under the direct supervision of the physician. This incumbent also reports to the clinic manager or designee for non-clinical functions.
Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing.
Certifications, Credentials & Licenses: LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required
Experience: experience in a similar capacity 1-2 years preferred. Medical Office experience
