JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Interventional Radiologist
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Mooresville, NC
• Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Optional Call
• Coverage Period: April 2026 – Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00a – 5:00p
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Optional
COVERAGE DATES
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage needed Monday through Friday
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults
• Patient Volume/Census: 170–215 studies per 24 hours (all modalities)
• Case Mix: Interventional radiology, General Diagnostic Imaging
FACILITY INFORMATION
• 123-bed acute care hospital
• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: Standard interventional radiology and diagnostic imaging equipment ( GE PACS)
• Specialty Backup Available: Multispecialty services including cardiology, orthopedics, emergency medicine, and surgery
• Support Staff Available: Radiology technologists and clinical support staff
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary Privileges Available: Under review (emergency privileges possible)
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Interventional radiology procedures
• Diagnostic interpretation including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Bone Density
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active North Carolina license/IMLC
• Board: BC/BE in Interventional Radiology
• DEA
• Life Certifications
• Experience: Interventional radiology with diagnostic reading capability
• Other Qualifications: Willingness to read general diagnostic imaging studies
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform interventional radiology procedures as assigned
• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies across multiple modalities
• Collaborate with referring physicians and clinical teams
• Utilize Epic EMR and GE PACS for documentation and image review
• Provide high-quality imaging services in an acute care hospital setting
