Responsibilities:
• Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during dental exams and procedures.
• Take and process dental x-rays, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain patient records and manage treatment notes in the VA EHR system.
• Prepare and sterilize dental equipment according to infection control guidelines.
• Monitor patient comfort during procedures and provide necessary assistance.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of the mobile clinic at various locations.
• Ensure patient flow is managed efficiently, scheduling follow-up appointments as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, and patient education.
