About the role
At Adaptyv, our high-throughput cloud lab enables protein designers to experimentally validate their proteins with the click of a button. We're building advanced molecular biology workflows, assay automation and software infrastructure to make it easy for our users to engineer better proteins. Since the launch of our beta access in June 2024 we've been growing rapidly and are now working with the fastest-moving protein design teams in the world , across tech bio startups, major AI companies and the biggest pharmas.
About the role
We are looking for a Founder’s Associate to help use drive high-impact projects across operations, strategy, and execution. This is a highly dynamic, hands-on role for someone who is hungry to learn, thrives in ambiguity, and gets things done . If you’re excited about working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup , this is an opportunity to gain end-to-end exposure to building and scaling a company.
Responsibilities
Execute fast —take ownership of key projects and drive them from idea to execution with minimal oversight.
Optimize operations —streamline internal processes, manage projects, and ensure everything runs smoothly.
Leverage AI and automation —use the latest AI tools and workflows to improve efficiency, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance decision-making.
Support the founders wherever needed —prepare presentations, conduct research, and ensure meetings are well-structured with clear action items.
Manage cross-functional coordination —work across teams to align priorities and remove bottlenecks.
Handle tactical execution —from operational tasks to strategic initiatives, roll up your sleeves and make things happen.
Adapt quickly and solve problems —navigate uncertainty, figure things out on the fly, and always find a way forward.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in startups, operations, consulting, or project management (or a strong track record of executing ambitious projects).
Proven ability to get things done —fast, efficiently, and with attention to detail.
Strong familiarity with AI tools and automation workflows —you're constantly looking to find a smarter way to getting things done and you are comfortable coding or using AI code generators
Analytical mindset —experience with financial modeling, data analysis, and decision-making based on metrics.
Strong operational skills —organized, process-oriented, and excellent at keeping things on track.
Self-starter mentality —highly motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in an unstructured environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills —able to work across teams and engage with people from different backgrounds (biologists, software engineers, suppliers, investors)

Technology
High-throughput wet lab to synthesize and test proteins
LabOS: our internal software stack to interface with all our lab instruments to schedule and monitor experiments, process results and optimize experiment conditions using bayesian optimization
Foundry & API: our user facing platform where protein designers can create new experiments to be run in our lab, can analyze results and optimize their proteins using our integrated ML tools
