Position Summary:
The Director, Clinical Sales is responsible for directly overseeing AdaptHealth’s regional clinical sales programs to ensure maximum effectiveness of the sales force. This includes planning, conducting, coordinating, creating, updating, and implementing the AdaptHealth Clinical Sales Program for all sales staff across multiple regions, as well as developing a national strategy for the Sales Team to achieve company clinical sales goals.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
- Directs, leads, and oversees the Company’s clinical sales to ensure maximum effectiveness of the sales force.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve clinical sales targets.
- Conducts sales calls on potential and existing referral sources as needed
- Conducts initial needs analysis to determine knowledge gaps and training needs.
- Focuses on delivery and materials that provide effective, engaging, and results driven training.
- Monitors participant’s results and uses information to improve or enhance training and other development programs.
- Responsible for growth of the patient base for the company
- Monitors growth, billing, collections, and sales activities for clinical sales.
- Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sales function and develops budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
- Manages and supports the execution of national clinical sales and collaborates with regional leaders.
- Helps managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to build trust, influence, and facilitate the acceptable of new approaches and operating practices.
- Develops and maintains working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and functions within the guidelines of HIPAA.
- Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
- Maintains compliant with AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program and applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.
- Perform other related duties as assigned during and outside of normal business hours as needed.
Management/Supervision:
- Responsible for selection and hiring of qualified staff, ensuring an effective on-boarding, and providing comprehensive training and regular feedback
- Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
- Establishes annual goals and objectives for the department based on the organization’s strategic goals
- Responsible for achieving organizational performance and retention goals, including timely completion of performance evaluations

Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales, or related discipline, Master’s degree preferred
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience in training or sales required
- Two (2) years of healthcare experience, preferably in HME required
- Appropriate certifications in professional education or training methods preferred
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in the state of residence
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Work environment may be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate
- Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods of time
- Able to lift to 5 to 10 pounds periodically as needed
- Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use
- Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- May be exposed to angry or irate customers.
- Must be able to drive and travel as needed.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
