About this role

Description

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to support one of our preschool programs. This position would support our affiliate organization, Inspire, located in Orange County.


ABOUT US

Inspire was founded as Orange County Cerebral Palsy Association, Inc. in 1950 primarily to provide rehabilitative and education services to children with cerebral palsy. Today, Inspire provides a wide array of rehabilitative, educational, and disability support services for individuals of all ages and abilities. 


Currently, Inspire operates sites in Goshen, Newburgh, and Monroe in order to adequately serve children and adults from throughout Orange County. Inspire is a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization and is also an affiliate of Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State. 


ABOUT THE POSITION

The School Nurse supports student health and wellness by providing professional nursing care, managing medications and treatments, and responding to illness or injuries. They ensure compliance with NYS immunization and communicable disease requirements, assess student health needs, and develop care plans that support learning and safety. The nurse also reports any school safety or environmental concerns affecting health. 


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm



ABOUT YOU

  • Holds an active NYS Registered Nurse license
  • CPR/BLS Certified
  • Experienced in school, pediatric, community, or public health nursing
  • Experienced in both G-tube feeding/care and tracheostomy care
  • Is a strong communicator
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Has strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work
