About this role

Position Summary

 

Acuren Group is currently recruiting a Condition Based Monitoring Specialist/ Reliability Specialist (Electrical) to support ongoing and future projects. If you are seeking a dynamic environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you.

The successful candidate will work closely with Senior CBM specialists and Reliability Engineers to add value to the clients Predictive Maintenance Program.

Responsibilities

  • This position is field based with travel to multiple work sites
  • CBM data acquisition on machinery and industrial assets, including motor circuit parameters, vibration, infrared and airborne ultrasonics
  • Computer based - data analysis and reporting
  • Full time, some weekend work required, flexible days off
  • Initially support other projects throughout Atlantic Canada and North America, as required

Requirements

  • Electrical experience in heavy industry and marine industry
  • Electrical engineering technology or journeyman status as an Electrician (Red Seal)
  • 10 years of experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintaining low/ medium voltage motors and drives
  • Current or willingness to obtain certifications in predictive technologies
  • Training or equivalent experience in predictive technologies would be an asset (Vibration Category I, Thermography Level 1, Motor Circuit Analysis Level 1 and Ultrasonic Level 1)
  • Experience with industrial equipment, willingness to work in the field in a hands-on environment
  • Proficiency in, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Field work can occasionally be physically demanding
  • Written and verbal English competency is required
  • Eligible for Reliability status security clearance
