Your Mission:

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a passionate, strategic, and creative Senior Brand Manager for a 6 month contract to support the team in the launch and ongoing support of an unannounced title. As a member of our brand marketing team—the storytellers of our brand—you will be dedicated to crafting the messaging and shaping the campaign that will introduce this game to the world. You will create campaigns that capture hearts and minds, ensuring a successful launch that not only piques the attention and interest of gamers, but also establishes the game’s place in the cultural zeitgeist.

As a contract Senior Brand Manager, you will help guide the positioning and brand strategy for this game, then translate that into creative that brings it to life. Collaborating with a team of dedicated marketers, you will ensure that all external communications align with the brand's voice, positioning, and strategic vision, maintaining a unified brand presence across all channels. You will partner closely with product marketing, UA, social, PR, and other cross-functional teams to make the launch a can’t-miss moment.

This is a 6 month temporary position.

What you bring to the table:

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Evocative Campaign Development: Lead the creation of inspiring and cohesive external marketing campaigns that reflect the game and brand essence and resonate with our target audience.
  • Creative Direction: Set the creative vision and frameworks that unify storytelling across channels. Partner with senior creative and production leads to push creative boundaries and establish Blizzard-level best practices.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all external communications align with the brand’s voice, positioning, and strategic vision, maintaining a unified brand presence across all channels.
  • Global Campaign Coordination: Drive global alignment on campaign strategy, goals, and creative expression. Partner with product marketing, regional teams, and cross-functional leaders to ensure integrated and culturally relevant execution worldwide.
  • Strategic Budget Input: Shape budget strategies and investment priorities across key campaigns and initiatives. Partner with leadership to balance creative ambition, ROI, and resourcing needs at the portfolio level.
  • Market Research: Synthesize complex audience insights, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence into actionable strategic direction. Influence brand and campaign planning through data-driven storytelling and trend forecasting.
  • Cultural Relevance: Anticipate and define moments that connect the brand to culture. Champion creative risks and partnerships that expand the brand’s presence and relevance across entertainment and community spaces.
  • Measure Campaign Effectiveness: Establish shared success frameworks across major campaigns, driving alignment on KPIs and learning agendas. Partner with Insights to surface strategic takeaways that inform future brand strategy and creative development.

Minimum Requirements

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, brand strategy, creative agency account management/strategy (or equivalent client-side position), ideally in the video game industry.
  • Experience in games, live service games, and/or free-to-play games required.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, analysis, and the ability to work across multiple teams.
  • Strong ability to translate strategy into effective and resonant creative.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $105,120.00 - $194,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
