About this role

We’re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research & Events Analyst to maintain and grow our catalog of construction technology startups, manage our company database and profile pages, and support key event-related operations.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring our data is accurate, searchable, and valuable to members. You’ll support the research team by tagging company information, building detailed listings, managing ongoing updates, and assisting with event registration and communications.

This position requires consistency, focus, and strong ownership over data quality, organization, and execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesResearch Support
  • Support research team members with data exports, data analysis, and ad-hoc insights
  • Research and catalog AEC-related companies, verifying details such as founding date, location, funding stage, leadership, and focus areas
  • Draft and update profiles of emerging construction technology startups
Database Administration
  • Maintain and regularly update the company database, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Create and manage company profile pages using structured tagging and taxonomy systems
  • Ensure seamless integration between the online database (WordPress) and CRM (HubSpot)
  • Implement and follow data quality control processes to keep information current and consistent
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual data entry
Event Registration & Support
  • Support ticket registration and send confirmation communications
  • Register confirmed speakers for events
  • Remind members to register for upcoming events and assist with registration as needed
  • Set up new members in HubSpot and WordPress
  • Send event reminders and announcements via HubSpot mass emails
  • 1–3 years of experience in research, data management, or CRM/database administration
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Experience using tools such as WordPress, Excel, HubSpot, or other CRM platforms
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks with consistency and care
  • Strong research skills and familiarity with tech or startup ecosystems
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage time independently

Bonus Points
  • Knowledge of construction technology or real estate technology sectors
  • Experience structuring taxonomies or tagging systems for searchable databases
  • Experience maintaining a CRM that also functions as a member portal or directory
