Job Description
Project Planning: Collaborating with project managers and engineers to develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting for civil works.
Coordination: Act as a liaison between different teams involved in the civil works, such as engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Permitting and Compliance: Ensuring that all civil works adhere to relevant regulations, building codes, and safety standards. This includes obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Resource Management: Managing resources such as equipment, materials, and labor to ensure they are allocated efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
Quality Control: Overseeing the quality of civil works, including inspections, testing, and compliance with specifications and standards. Addressing any issues or deviations promptly to maintain project quality.
Progress Monitoring: Monitoring the progress of civil works activities, tracking milestones, and identifying potential risks or delays. Implementing corrective measures as needed to keep the project on track.
Budget Management: Monitoring project expenses related to civil works and ensuring adherence to the budget. Identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing change orders effectively.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of all civil works activities, including contracts, permits, invoices, and correspondence. Providing regular progress reports to stakeholders and management.
Risk Management: Identifying potential risks related to civil works and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project. This includes addressing safety hazards, environmental concerns, and unforeseen challenges.
Client Relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project. Addressing client concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the civil works progress.
Problem Solving: Resolving any issues or conflicts that arise during the course of civil works, whether related to scheduling, quality, budget, or other aspects of the project.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality in civil works operations.
Required Skills and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience in the construction industry or infrastructure projects.
Understanding of contract management principles, procurement processes, and cost control techniques.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build relationships.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers an annual base salary in the anticipated range of $98,500–$137,800 CAD, with compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
In addition to base salary, this role includes a total rewards package that supports employee well-being, development, and long-term growth, subject to company policies and applicable provincial employment standards, including:
