Job Description

The Project

The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.

The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.

About The Role

We are seeking experienced Crane Operators to join our team at our Alkimos site. Reporting to the site supervisor, you will be expected to:

- Operate slewing cranes safely and efficiently on a busy civil construction site

- Work closely with riggers, dogmen, and site supervisors to ensure smooth lifting operations

- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance checks

- Contribute to a positive, safety‑driven site culture

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Min 2-5 years experience in civil construction as a Crane operator
  • Valid crane ticket
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Constructions White Card
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of the team
  • Willingness to undertake overtime when required
  • Have valid working rights in Australia and be willing to conduct any required medicals or police checks as part of the onboarding process
