Role Summary:

The SEM Specialist will support the creation and optimization of the paid search accounts. This position will support the full life cycle of the campaign, from conception and defining objectives to execution, budget pacing, conversion tracking and reporting. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, adaptable, and has an eye for detail.   

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Support manages paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other SEM platforms, ensuring they are optimized to meet KPIs. 
  • Assist in conducting in-depth keyword research, continuously optimize keyword bids and ad groups, and refine targeting strategies to improve campaign performance. 
  • Proactively support monitoring and analyzing campaign performance data, making necessary adjustments to bid strategies, targeting, and ad creatives. 
  • Provide regular reports to clients or internal stakeholders, offering insights into campaign performance and optimization opportunities. 
  • Work with the creative and content teams to align ad copy and landing pages with campaign goals and user intent. 
  • Perform competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and areas to improve paid search performance. 
  • Manage campaign trafficking, uploads and QA. 
  • Monitor campaigns to ensure proper pacing, avoid under or overspending. 
  • Support A/B testing for ads, landing pages, and other SEM elements to improve performance.  
  • Contribute to the development of paid search strategies by analyzing industry trends, competitor activity, and past performance data.  
  • Assist senior team members in refining and evolving the strategy based on insights.  
  • Participate in training sessions to develop a deeper understanding of SEM strategies, tools, and best practices. 

Job Specific Experience, Education and Skills:

  • Minimum required education: High School Diploma.
  • Proven 2+ years of experience in SEM platforms and full understanding and management of the most important buying platforms. 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience using Google Ads. Creating and executing campaigns and providing insights based on optimization campaigns and reporting. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Technical Degree in Marketing or equivalent experience in advertising. 
  • Good English communication level C1 and above. 
  • Working on data driven environment. 
  • Experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office products. (Microsoft in general). 
  • Good use of Microsoft Excel and Advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs to create and update complex reporting. 
  • Support on implementation, strategy and planning of paid search campaigns and a strong understanding of the behavior of the different search engines. 
  • Certifications: Google Ads Search Certification (Required). Bing Ads (Plus). Experience on how to use the editor for Google Ads and Bing Ads (Plus). Search Ads 360 (Plus). Shopping Ads (Desirable). Google Analytics and Data Studio (Beginner).  
  • Excellent administrative and documentation skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Experience with technical issues, such as campaign, QA, and troubleshooting. 
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to follow through and self-organize. 
  • Deal with a large volume of requests and know how to prioritize workload. 
  • Excellent Communication skills and customer service.
