About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
This is a pivotal leadership role at the centre of ACC’s injury prevention system. As Manager, Prevention Insights & System Engagement, you will lead a team delivering high‑quality, evidence-based insights that shape ACC’s prevention strategy and influence system‑wide change.
The role champions the use of data, research, and behavioural insights to identify risks, anticipate trends, and target interventions, particularly for high‑risk groups. An understanding of the machinery of government ensures prevention advice is grounded in public sector realities and able to influence policy, investment settings, and broader government priorities.
It sets an ambitious work programme, strengthens cross‑functional collaboration, and builds trusted relationships across ACC and the wider system. Leadership in this role embeds prevention into core policies and programmes, while supporting a culture of informed, insight‑driven decision‑making.

The indicative salary range for this role is $164,705 – $232,525 depending on skills and experience. ACC also offers a generous 9% employer superannuation contribution.
