Key accountabilities
Analytical Data Modeling & OLAP Development
Design, develop, and maintain OLAP cubes multidimensional and Tabular models to support analytical reporting and dashboards.
Define and optimize dimensions, measures, hierarchies, partitions, and aggregations.
Perform cube processing and performance tuning to ensure fast, reliable access to analytical data.
SQL, ETL & Data Warehousing
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL).
Support and improve ETL workflows to reliably integrate source data into data warehouse structures that feed cubes and reports.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation across source and analytical systems.
BI Visualization & Reporting
Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI Services and Excel.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into meaningful BI metrics and visuals.
Maintain and enhance reporting solutions based on evolving business requirements.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with internal team analysts, business analysts, and business users to gather requirements and align analytics solutions with business goals.
Communicate technical concepts and analytical insights in a clear, accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Document processes, data models, and BI design specifications for team reference and governance.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
Conduct validation checks and troubleshooting to ensure high data quality and system reliability.
Continuously evaluate existing BI solutions and recommend improvements to enhance performance or usability.
Adhere to data governance, security, and compliance practices relevant to banking services.
Accountability
Ensuring accuracy and reliability of analytical data models and BI deliverables through robust design, testing, and validation.
Owning development and maintenance of OLAP cubes, ETL procedures, and BI visualizations that support timely and accurate reporting.
Meeting stakeholder requirements and data quality standards by aligning technical solutions with business needs.
Monitoring and validating data processing outcomes to confirm integrity, completeness, and performance of analytical systems.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues in analytical systems, driving corrective actions and continuous improvements.
Enhancing data accessibility and utility by refining processes and optimizing performance for end-users.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with SQL Server (T-SQL) development.
Experience building and maintaining OLAP cubes (Microsoft SSAS or equivalent).
Familiarity with MDX/DAX for cube/query optimization.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Proficiency in Power BI and background in financial, operational, or enterprise reporting.
Ability to write efficient SQL, understand indexing, and optimize query performance.
Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS) and associated BI services.
Education
