Grounds Maintenance and Repairs Operative

LOCATION: CENTRAL RETAIL PARK - FALKIRK

SHIFT PATTERN: Monday-Sunday 5/7, 40 hours per week

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

Your duties will involve maintenance and landscaping of customer and staff areas of retail park and includes litter picking, sweeping, weed control, emptying bins, chewing gum removal, pressure washing of pedestrian walkways and general maintenance and repairs required around park. Experience and knowledge of use of landscaping equipment, hand and power tools required.

Possession of current IPAF 3A/3B and Pesticide PA1/PA6 certificates would be preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Litter pick and sweep of all areas of retail park

· Grass cutting maintenance

· Hedge shrub tree maintenance

· Weed/moss removal

· Flower bed maintenance

· Weed spraying

· Leaf clearance

· Slab/concrete repairs

· Bollards repairs

· Fence repairs

· Painting

· Power washing

· Gum removal

· General repairs

· Litter picking

· Emptying waste bins

· Sweeping

· Shopfront cleaning ,bollards ,barriers ,bins, shop cladding

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Good attendance

• Work to routine schedules

• Be able to proactively find tasks

• Ability to work on their own and as a team

• Excellent timekeeping

• Good communication skills
