Shift: Day, M-F, 10am - 6pm

 

Position Summary:


The Maintenance Technician will complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, and other equipment, systems, or structures. This role ensures repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities. The technician will respond to spills and other emergency situations and perform necessary tasks as needed.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:


Handle special work assignments and trouble calls.

Adhere to quality levels and standard practices for all work performed.

Learn and follow appropriate safety regulations.

Conduct regular inspections, report findings, and communicate any issues.

Perform additional duties as needed, such as lighting, restroom maintenance, plumbing, equipment, etc.

 

Overall responsibility for the following functions and tasks:


Operation of:

HVAC Systems (filters)

Electrical Equipment (lighting)

 

Specifically, the Maintenance Technician will perform the following duties:


Repair/replacement of lamps, ballasts, and drivers.

Repair/replacement of restroom and kitchen plumbing fixtures.

Assist with mechanical preventative maintenance tasks.

Janitorial and assist when/where needed.

Maintain a clean and safe work area(s).

Identify best practices regarding MT duties and discuss with supervisor regularly.

Maintain a clear line of written and verbal communication with the Team Lead.

Performs basic functions that may include: plumbing, mechanical, painting, drywall repair and safety.


SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED.

Two plus years’ experience in production and/or warehouse preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance.

Able to solve problems using trouble shooting skills.

Understand the basic skills needed for guest room maintenance.

Responsible for the safety of him/her  self and others.

Knowledge of MSDS, Occupational hazards and applicable safety hazards.

Knowledge of basic methods and practices used in preventative maintenance and repair work.

Ability to operate power tools.

Ability to communicate read and write in English.

Ability to maintain work orders.

Ability to accomplish tasks within strict deadlines.

Skill in diagnosing and repair of equipment utilized.


*Preferred Experience*


Experience with Ticket System.

2+ years of Commercial Plumbing.

Ability to source parts for purchase requests.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Teams.

Scissor lift Certified.


This role is responsible for troubleshooting systems, performing inspections, and completing work orders in addition to providing administrative and technical support as directed by department management.

The Maintenance Technician will report to the Team Lead.
