Position Summary:
The primary function of Loss Prevention Technical Support will be to act on emails and phone calls from branch managers related to technical support issues and service requests for security systems.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair recording server hardware and operating system software.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot video management software (VMS) on recording servers and desktop clients.
- Basic troubleshooting of network issues related to connectivity between surveillance devices.
- Collaborate with telecom and network infrastructure teams to resolve interconnectivity issues.
- Collaborate with outside vendors to initiate, coordinate, and resolve service issues.
- Shipping and receiving of surveillance and other security devices.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of network fundamentals (IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, NTP).
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of computer and network hardware.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with team members.
- Ability to problem solve and research solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and resolve issues based on impact and urgency.
- Strong sense of personal initiative and ability to work independently.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Willing to travel if business needs require it.
