The Opportunity
This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.
As a Senior Manager, Gross Margin Improvement, you will manage execution of project in accordance with organization's project management methodology.
Develop, prioritize and submit project plans, budgets and methodologies across a range of key projects supporting the delivery of Gross Margin Improvement (GMI) and Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) programs. Define project resources, performance reviews and post implementation evaluations.
Project leadership includes identifying opportunities, writing effective project charters, using project management to manage team activities, leading teams to execute projects, tracking project status and results, escalating project barriers, and developing team members. Take ownership of the successful implementation of a set of projects that collectively can comprise a program.
Manage the work of project managers. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.
What You'll Do
- Lead and govern the delivery of GMI goals, communicate status and identify risks to ensure the division meets annual GMI commitments.
- Facilitate generation of ideas to create a pipeline of GMI opportunities.
- Champion the continuous improvement standards and strategy for the business
- Lead the most complex or critical projects.
- Identify and resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
- Evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project.
- Select and manage ongoing relationships with external contractors, internal team members and stakeholders to deliver goals for the organization
Experience You'll Bring
Required
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations
- Masters Degree preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience with increasing responsibility demonstrating success in applying project management, change management and continuous improvement tools.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- PMP preferred

The base pay for this position is
