This Position reports to:
Head - Product Management, Product Engineering & Application DevelopmentThis role is contributing to the MODP Business Division in Peenya - Bangalore India
Your role and responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage certification applications, renewals, and audits.
- Review and verify certification documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- The certification may be BIS , CE etc
- Liaise with external certification agencies and internal teams to facilitate certification processes.
- Maintain and update certification records and databases.
- Provide guidance and support to candidates or product teams regarding certification requirements.
- Monitor compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
- Prepare reports on certification status and compliance metrics
- Update the specifications requirement testing as per the regulation
- Testing discussion internally or 3rd party lab as needed
- Follow with supplier for the testing
- Documentation creation for the certification and update in the ABB portal
- Stay updated on relevant certification standards, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications for the role
- Diploma/BE/Btech in electrical engineering or similar
- 2+ years of experience in the area of drives or electrical engineering
- Previous experience in certification coordination, compliance, or quality assurance roles.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple certification projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards and certification processes.
- Effective communicator
- Self-driven personality
- Knowledge in ABB’s Products (ABB Internal training)
- Fluent in English
