Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as commissioning lead for projects with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will ensure completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting continuous improvement of project process/product/system design.

This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Bangalore, India in electronic segments.


You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Supporting and coordinating the installation/commissioning activities and related on- site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification.
  • Creating work plans and cost estimates to meet contractual obligations.
  • Initiating and monitoring risk mitigation plans and ensuring stakeholders are updated on associated technical risks.
  • Managing external organizations to ensure the availability of commissioning equipment, systems, or services.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Robotics & Automation
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial robotics, including ABB articulated, SCARA, and COBOT systems
  • Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting across platforms like Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, and Beckhoff
  • Skilled in HMI and MES integration, robotic simulation, OLP development, and tools like AutoCAD (Mechanical/Electrical) and EPlan
  • Strong understanding of system integration involving conveyors, vision systems, end-of-arm tooling, and safety devices
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and OPC UA
  • Capable of robot path teaching, I/O configuration, motion tuning, and cycle time validation
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi, and other regional languages; able to collaborate across teams and with customers
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% for on-site project work, including installation, commissioning, and support
  • Passionate about smart factory automation with a proactive, innovative mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
