This Position reports to:

R&D Department/Local Unit Lead


 

You will be responsible for prototyping and testing electrical distribution products.  Prototyping will include material handling, assembly, and instrumentation of large and medium sized switch gear.  Testing will include temperature rise testing, dielectric testing, environmental testing, and endurance testing.

The work model for the role: Onsite #LI - Onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Material handling and coordination for test projects
  • Assembly and modifications of test objects
  • Safely execute high voltage and high current testing
  • Understand and verify test results
  • Identify and help create new test equipment and fixtures to improve efficiency of testing.
  • Maintain existing test equipment
Job Qualifications:
  • 2-year degree in electrical/electronic technology
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience and understanding of electrical systems and electrical safety
  • Experience with meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, test, and data acquisition systems
  • Experience with low voltage and medium voltage switchgear.
  • Position requires domestic and international travel
