Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to drive quality assurance across our AI vision-powered robotics systems. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies—covering AI vision models, robotics controls, software, hardware, and system integration—to ensure robust, reliable, and seamless operation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile/Scrum environment and leverage DevOps practices to embed quality, automation, and continuous integration throughout development, testing, and deployment.

In this role you will be contributing for Robot & Discrete Automation in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Lead domain-specific testing across AI vision models, robotics kinematics, control systems, software algorithms, hardware components, UI, and automation cells, ensuring thorough validation of each area.

  • Conduct system integration testing and end-to-end validation to confirm cohesive functioning of all subsystems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies within Agile/Scrum workflows.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test suites and frameworks tailored to each domain, and manage test infrastructure including environments, DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, and test data versioning for scalable validation.

  • Perform root cause analysis, track defects, and coordinate corrective actions with software, robotics, hardware, and product teams to drive quality improvements.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, quality metrics, and reporting to support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure transparency in testing outcomes.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quality assurance or testing for AI vision, robotics, automation, or AI‑driven systems, ideally with exposure to both corporate and agency environments.
  • Strong expertise in AI vision, computer vision techniques, robotics principles (kinematics, sensors, actuators), and control systems, with hands‑on experience validating models such as object detection, segmentation, and pose estimation.
  • Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks, with practical knowledge of DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and multi‑domain testing environments.
  • Familiarity with ROS, robotic simulation platforms, and industrial automation standards, along with programming skills in Python, C, C++, or C# for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise senior leadership, manage stakeholder relationships, and communicate effectively across all organizational levels with strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, with intercultural sensitivity, collaboration skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach to managing complex projects.
