This Position reports to:

Production Engineering Manager


 

In this role you will develop of a continuous improvement project during 8 weeks on a team of more students, sup-ported by a Manufacturing Expert (Coach), in which you will be able to apply your knowledge and ideas of improvements.


Implement time and motion studies for the design, implementation and improvement of assembly lines or fabrication cells.


Development and control of documentation and procedures for processes and machines.


Support in the processes of modification of the current layout of the plant.


Your responsibilities:

  • Meet project evaluation metrics during the 8 weeks of the project.

  • Weekly meetings with Manufacturing Experts assigned to each project (Coach) to get feedback on progress and
    executive presentation preparation.

  • Develop an executive presentation to present weekly progress to managers of the site.

  • Leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Implement and apply new technologies to improve current processes.

  • Develop time and motion studies on assembly cells and fabrication machines to balance manufacturing processes and
    eliminate lean wastes.

  • Elaboration of Yamazumis Charts (Current and Future state) and Standard Work for current and new processes.

  • Develop standard documentation (Work Instructions, Standard Operation Sheets, Parameters Sheets, Visual Aids, Procedures, AutoCAD Layout) for manufacturing processes.

  • Location: Ramos Arizpe, Coah. MX (work on site)

  • Currently enrolled

  • Previous Experience as Intern desired or developing an academic project in the industry

  • Advanced English, Excel intermediate knowledge, SAP desired.

  • Skills: Time Management, Communication Skills, Leadership Self Learning, Presentation Skills, Planning and Management Proactive, Innovative.
