You will become a member of ABB’s Automation Business Area as a Strategic Global Talent Partner, contributing to the Marine & Ports Division, a genuinely international organization serving the maritime and port sectors with innovative products, systems, and services. With operations in 30 countries and a workforce of approximately 2,500 employees, Marine & Ports offers an exciting and diverse environment where people play a key role in reaching our goals.

In this position, you will work closely with Division business leaders to understand both immediate and long-term talent needs. You will proactively source, engage, and hire candidates to ensure we attract the right people with the right capabilities. Your focus will span global positions, senior leadership roles, and other strategically important hires across multiple countries. Occasional international travel may be required. You will be part of both the Marine & Ports HR team and ABB’s Global Talent Acquisition organization. The ability to understand the business environment, cultivate reliable relationships, and illustrate proficiency throughout the recruitment lifecycle will be vital for attaining your objectives.

You will report to the Business Area Head of Talent Acquisition and have a functional reporting line to the Division HR Manager. The position can be based in Västerås (Sweden), Fornebu (Norway), or Helsinki (Finland).

Your responsibilities

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the Division’s long-term results by ensuring we attract and hire the talent needed to deliver on our global aspirations:

  • Executing comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aligned with ABB and Division Marine & Ports objectives.

  • Coordinate the recruitment process for strategic and key roles for the Division, from kick-off meeting to offer acceptance, ensuring quality experience for both recruiting managers and candidates. Advice, evaluate and partner with the business leaders and HRBPs in every step of the process.

  • Build and maintain talent pipelines by diligently searching for and engaging with suitable candidates.

  • Provide skillful advice, market insights, and guidance to ensure an effective delivery of sourcing and recruitment to best fit the business needs.

  • Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders and HR business partners to anticipate and strategize recruitment and workforce requirements for comprehensive planning across all areas and locations.

  • Participating in continuous Talent Acquisition projects to meet and adhere to standards for the functions performance.

  • Support the provision of timely data analytics and reporting activities, to manage candidate pipeline and other recruitment metrics.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration or related fields.

  • Several years of experience working with Talent Acquisition or other HR related professions.

  • Strategic mindset with ability to coach and shape long term talent strategies.

  • Genuine business interest and a willingness to learn and understand about the relevant market landscape and the business.

  • Ability to work in a challenging business environment where rapid developments and proximity to customer projects require quick decision-making.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial for this role.

  • Your personal leadership demonstrates clarity, courage, and collaborative skills that effectively guide, coach, and support even senior leaders.

  • You take initiative to structure and find solutions before others may have identified a challenge.

  • Recruitment or HR experience in Automation and/or Marine and Ports industries is advantageous as is experience working with tools/CMR platforms, like Phenom, and Workday.

  • Advanced English is a Requirement.
