Overview

Abacus is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our team comprised of creative and energetic employees, who are dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience every day.   

 

**This is an on-site role in Houston, TX to support close collaboration and effective teamwork with our in-office team. 

The Data Analyst is focused on improving operational efficiency through systems administration, business process development, and data reporting. This role supports the Data & Analytics team in maintaining the integrity of core systems, building repeatable processes, and delivering timely and accurate reporting to key stakeholders across departments. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, especially Finance, Operations, and IT, to support data initiatives, streamline workflows, and optimize the use of internal systems. By enhancing data operations and process efficiency, this role enables more data-informed decision making and helps drive sustainable business growth. This role focuses on platform support, process improvement, reporting, and user training for systems such as ServiceTitan, DOMO, CRM/ERP platforms, MS Power Platform Tools, and data reporting tools.

Responsibilities

 

1. Systems Administration 

  • Support administrative functions in platforms such as (ServiceTitan, DOMO, CRM/ERP, MS Power Platform Tools, reporting tools).  

  • Manage user access, permissions, and basic configurations 

  • Document system processes, changes, and best practices 

  • Assist with testing and validation during system changes or updates 

 

2. Process Design & Implementation 

  • Analyze and document existing workflows; recommend and support the rollout of improvements 

  • Collaborate with business users to map out new processes or enhancements 

  • Maintain clear documentation of business processes, decision flows, and data dependencies 

  • Monitor process performance and support process audits as needed 

 

3. Reporting & Analytics 

  • Create and maintain scheduled reports and dashboards to support operational and financial teams 

  • Partner with analysts and managers to define KPIs and track business performance 

  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support team or leadership requests 

  • Conduct data validation and ensure consistency across sources 

 

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and other departments to align systems and reporting needs 

  • Participate in project teams supporting systems, reporting, or process initiatives 

  • Serve as a resource for end users needing support with systems or reports 

Qualifications

Do I Have What It Takes?

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (preferred) 
    • 3-5 years of experience in systems administration, business applications, or data operations 
    • General understanding of data management best practices, including how to keep data accurate, consistent, and well-organized across systems  
    • Background in home services, field operations, or finance-driven environments (preferred) 
    • Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively across teams. 
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to document processes clearly. 
    • Excellent communication skills with a focus on user support and training.
