Description:
Oversee the planning and execution of aircraft modification programs, including schedule, budget, engineering status, certification, supplier management and kit development. The Sr. Program Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee risk management and ensure on-time delivery of all engineering, supplier and certification milestones.
What you will be responsible for:
● Lead and manage assigned programs, including overall program schedule, budget, engineering status, certification, supplier management and kit development.
● Develop drawing tree and installation instructions in support of cabin, electrical, structures and systems engineering disciplines.
● Coordinate engineering requirements with Director of Engineering and Project Engineer (as applicable) and monitor out of scope items to ensure projects remain within plan and budget.
● Identify and mitigate risks throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring timely coordination and resolution of challenges.
● Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and successful program execution and assist with preparing budget and estimates for assigned projects and proposals.
● Provide regular program updates, status reports and review progress with management and recommend corrective actions.
● Serve as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers and stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external parties.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent technical background.
· At least 10 years of engineering and/or program management and certification experience, with a proven track record of managing complex FAA and EASA STC projects.
· Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage complex timelines, budgets and resources.
· In-depth knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations and experience in interacting with regulatory bodies and managing certification processes.
· Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering/program team, customers, stakeholders and senior leadership.
