Workers Compensation Coordinator II

Job Summary

The Workers Compensation Coordinator II is responsible for managing and administering the company’s workers compensation program. This role involves coordinating claims, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to both employees and management regarding workers compensation issues.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage the day-to-day operations of the workers compensation program, ensuring prompt and efficient processing of claims.

· Coordinate with medical providers, employees, and insurance carriers to facilitate a smooth claims process.

· Maintain accurate records of all workers’ compensation claims and related documentation.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local workers compensation laws and regulations.

· Provide guidance and training to management and employees on workers’ compensation procedures and policies.

· Investigate and report on incidents and accidents to determine the root cause and implement preventive measures.

· Work closely with human resources and legal departments to handle complex workers compensation cases.

· Coordinate return-to-work programs and assist in developing modified duty plans for injured employees.

· Monitor and analyze trends in workers’ compensation claims to identify areas for improvement.

· Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies as needed.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Associates degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers’ compensation management, preferably in a self-insured environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Working knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and regulations.

· Working knowledge of legal claim settlement and familiarity with joint petition, interrogatory and other work comp forms and other court rulings and terminology.

· Excellent organizational and communication skills.

· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and workers compensation software.

· Certification in Workers Compensation (e.g., CWCP) preferred.

Work Environment

· Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting and may require frequent exposure to the manufacturing production floor.

· Will be required to wear proper personal protective equipment and always maintain safety procedures.

· May be called into work outside of normal work hours or work long hours for emergency situations.

· Sit and stand for long periods of time.

· Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

· Work may require travel, including overnight stays.

Pay Range:

$25.29 - $37.94
