Job Description:

Summary:

The Strategic Account Manager, Datacenter Solutions serves as BASX Solutions authorized interface for many of BASX Solutions data center customers. The successful candidate will be the responsible leader on multiple datacenter accounts and must be able to develop and manage numerous client relationships through effective account planning and execution. This person will report to the Director – Datacenter Sales and will be expected to work effectively with peers, maintain strategic account plans and an accurate and up-to-date pipeline to meet or exceed annual sales objectives.

Activities:

  • Engage, qualify, and create relationship alignment within each account.
  • Maintain and expand annual revenue and margin related to our datacenter solutions equipment product portfolio.
  • Clearly understand our clients’ goals and assist them to achieve key business outcomes.
  • Utilize business acumen to understand the customer's unique business requirements and provide input required to continually evolve the BASX Solutions value proposition.
  • Serve as a single, high-level point of escalation for customer satisfaction issues.
  • Interpret technical information and adapt it for presentation to a variety of internal and external audiences.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations including pricing, terms and conditions, service level agreements, and multi-year commitments.
  • Build and maintain internal relationships within both sales and operations as well as coordinating with numerous internal contacts and key customer partners/ influencers to ensure successful pre and post-sales support of our client’s needs.
  • Meet customer needs by providing client facing input to the product teams on existing products, future development pipeline, product integration capabilities, and new product development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or relevant education/work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working within the data center market in sales business development capacity.
  • Must demonstrate strong data center intelligence, understanding of data center culture/challenges and unique customer requirements.
  • Strategic Account Planning and end-user relationship management skills.
  • Strong personal computer working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, power point), Adobe Writer, Visio and basic Windows environment.
  • Willing and able to travel 50% - 75% of the time and residing near major airport.
  • Practical application and execution knowledge of data center design and construction.
  • A self-motivated team player with exceptional internal and external relationship development and communication skills both in-person and remotely.
  • This person will possess both account management and business development acumen and have a proven track record of understanding clients’ businesses, their corporate goals and objectives and working in a consultative manner.
  • Capacity to work effectively and influence others who are not direct reports.
  • Must be able to work well in environments with a team-based approach.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Lift up to 50lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
  • Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.

Pay Range:

$111,348.00 - $167,023.00
