Senior Employee Relations Specialist

The Employee Relations Specialist serves as a strategic partner to organizational leaders by providing expert consultation and guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters. This role is responsible for promoting a positive work environment through effective conflict resolution, performance management support, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. The Specialist uses sound judgment, critical analysis, and influence to support decisions aligned with Auto Club Enterprises (ACE) core values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultation to leaders on employee relations issues including performance management, workplace conflict, policy interpretation, and legal compliance.

  • Serve as a resource to employees to understand employment policies and resolving workplace concerns.

  • Conduct thorough investigations into complex and sensitive matters such as discrimination, harassment, and workplace violence.

  • Collaborate with internal investigators and document all employee relations activities in accordance with established protocols.

  • Partner with the Office of the General Counsel to ensure consistent and legally sound practices.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in judicial proceedings when required.

  • Advise leadership on proactive strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention.

  • Support strategic HR initiatives, including conducting exit interviews and analyzing trends to inform organizational strategies.

  • Monitor changes in employment law and HR best practices, recommending appropriate policy or procedural updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree/ Professional Human Resources Certification Institute Preferred.

  • Prior/Proven experience in employee relations, HR consulting, or a related field required.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and investigation procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills with strong conflict resolution skills.

  • Experience working collaboratively with legal counsel and senior leadership.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a sense of urgency.

  • Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate data, trends, policies and procedures to all levels of staff and management.

  • Proficiency with analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Experience advising management and delivering business-based solutions to organizational leadership.

    The starting pay range for this position is:

    $86,100.00 - $115,000.00

    Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
