Position Summary

The Training, Development, and Quality is responsible for the strategic management of the training and development efforts for the Insurance team.  This person will combine deep expertise in instructional design with strong communication skills to create impactful learning experiences that elevate operational quality. They will lead a team with a focus on professional development, design and deliver innovative training programs, and ensure measurable learning outcomes

What You’ll Do

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the needs analysis on an ongoing basis to determine training needs and establish objectives for the department, team, or individual and partner with key stakeholders to support initiatives.

  • Oversee effectiveness of training and development programs by assessing learning application, follow-through, and performance improvement.

  • Manage learning technologies, including collaboration platforms.

  • Responsible for overall quality of training by the team, using data and metrics to determine ROI on training programs and training specialist performance.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provides direct management to training team.  

  • Responsible for developing people, improving processes, reducing costs, monitoring quality, delivering results against established objectives, and ensuring a high level of service to internal and external customers.

  • Manages assigned employees by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, developing, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning monitoring, appraising, and reviewing employee job contributions; maintaining compensation, resolving problems, and implementing change.

 

Process, Quality, and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with leadership to build new training programs.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to test new product, system, and procedure implementation.

  • Develop and implement process improvements and efficiencies for training.

  • Contribute to key performance metrics, service levels, and operational plans.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in business or similar field or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years’ training experience in the insurance industry

  • 3+ years’ experience in management or supervisory role

  • Active WA State Property & Casualty and Life & Disability Insurance license

 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing industry technology and platforms

Compensation, Work Location, and Benefits

 

Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $88,026-$101,286 annually
Employment Type: Full Time
