What you will do:

  • Monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, both in vehicle and on foot, for security breaches and hazards
  • Vehicle and site inspections
  • Responding to routine, emergency, and alarm calls
  • Operating security systems such as CCTV, visitor management, fire & life safety, and access control
  • Providing customer service, responding to public inquiries, and assisting in the movement of authorized visitors, vendors, and staff
  • Managing and leading security guards as required
  • Parking enforcement and emergency response support as required
  • Recording and maintaining a memo book of daily activities, unusual or special occurrences, and issuance of equipment
  • Documenting all incidents into concise and accurate security incident reports
  • Enforcement of the Trespass to Property Act and other related legislation
  • Assisting with health & safety inspections and investigations
  • Collaborating directly with ASP management on matters pertaining to the Halton Region account

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a previous role with a similar size and scope of work
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline such as Security, Investigations, or Criminology is preferred
  • An Ontario G driver’s license with a clean abstract, 25 years of age or over
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • A valid Ontario security guard license
  • A self-motivated and positive individual who is detail-oriented, skilled with Microsoft Office suite, and is a critical thinker

Compensation

-Expected compensation: $22.00  per hour
