801 Chophouse Kansas City is hiring for a Pastry Cook position!
This is a part-time position working in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment with the highest of quality food. This position is expected to work between 2-4 shifts per week, depending business needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Pastry production
- General knife handling
- Pastry plating
- Kitchen cleanliness/sanitation
- Organization skills
Requirements/Experience Desired:
- At least 1 year experience, preferably more, in pastry production in high-end/fine dining.
- Basic knowledge of molecular gastronomy
- Cake making & decorating
- Petit fours/Mignardises
- Gluten-free
- Ice cream/sorbet
- Bread making
- Ability to effectively communicate with kitchen and front of house team in loud environment
- Must be available any day of the week, including nights, weekends & some holidays
- Must maintain regular, predictable and reliable attendance
Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Physical ability to work on your feet, alertly, for extended periods of time
- Continuous use of hands and arms; continuous bending, reaching & twisting
- Physical ability to frequently lift 20-30 lbs, and occasionally up to 50lbs;
- Physical ability to squat, kneel, and climb
