Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using <strong>Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</strong> services, specifically <strong>BigQuery</strong>, <strong>Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow)</strong>, and <strong>Cloud Run</strong>.</li> <li>Implement and manage data transformation logic using <strong>Dataform</strong> (or <strong>dbt</strong>) to ensure data quality, consistency, and reusability.</li> <li>Lead and execute the migration of existing data solutions from <strong>SQL Server</strong> to GCP, including schema conversion, data transfer, and validation.</li> <li>Develop, test, and deploy data ingestion and processing scripts using <strong>Python</strong>.</li> <li>Manage and optimize data storage solutions in <strong>Google Cloud Storage (GCS)</strong>, ensuring data accessibility and cost-effectiveness.</li> <li>Monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions for data integrity and reliability using <strong>Google Cloud Logging</strong> and other monitoring tools.</li> <li>Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate data solutions.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.</li> <li>Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.</li> <li>Strong expertise in <strong>Google Cloud Platform (GCP)</strong> data services, including: BigQuery,Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), Cloud Run,Google Cloud Storage (GCS),Google Cloud Logging</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Proficiency in SQL Server, including database administration, T-SQL, and performance tuning.</li> <li>Demonstrable experience with SQL Server migrations to cloud-based data warehouses.</li> <li>Strong programming skills in <strong>Python</strong> for data manipulation, scripting, and API interactions.</li> <li>Experience with data transformation tools like Dataform or dbt (data build tool).</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration abilities.</li> </ul> <p></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><em>66degrees is an Equal Opportunity employer.
