<p><strong>Junior Account Executive</strong></p> <p>5W is seeking a driven Junior Account Executive to join our team! As a key member of the team, you’ll support media relations, account management, and reporting across multiple accounts — playing an essential role in driving client success. An interest in and understanding of the social media and influencer space is highly valued, as many of our campaigns integrate traditional PR with digital storytelling.</p> <p>The ideal candidate brings strong writing and pitching skills, attention to detail, and a passion for PR. This is a hands-on opportunity to work closely with your team, contribute to creative storytelling, and build the foundation for a thriving career in public relations.</p> <h2>Here’s what you’ll be doing:</h2> <h3>Media Relations:</h3> <ul> <li>Build targeted media lists using platforms like Cision and MuckRack.</li> <li>Capture the attention of national, regional and non-traditional media outlets — including podcasts, radio, and social media influencers and begin forming key relationships.</li> <li>Help craft compelling story angles and media pitches.</li> <li>Track trends and cultural conversations to identify opportunities for client outreach.</li> <li>Conduct proactive media outreach and secure coverage.</li> <li>Monitor, track, and share client and competitor coverage.</li> </ul> <h3>Account Management:</h3> <ul> <li>Play a key role in client management by scheduling calls, drafting agendas and recaps, and maintaining team files.</li> <li>Organize client folders, trackers, and databases.</li> <li>Oversee brand samples and manage inventory when applicable.</li> <li>Coordinate deliveries to media and influencers.</li> <li>Manage logistics for client/team meetings, including check-in, meals, and prep materials.</li> <li>Provide support on events, activations, and mailers.</li> </ul> <h3>Monitoring &amp; Reporting:</h3> <ul> <li>Manage media coverage reports and tracking documents.</li> <li>Provide ongoing monitoring for client and competitor activity.</li> <li>Own the preparation and accuracy of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual client reports.</li> <li>Support program recap reports for events, mailers, influencer campaigns, and other initiatives.</li> </ul> <h2>Here’s what you have:</h2> <ul> <li>S./B.A. in Public Relations or related field.</li> <li>1 year of full-time agency experience preferred</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different platforms and audiences.</li> <li>A proactive, creative, and energetic personality with excellent organizational skills.</li> <li>Positive, flexible attitude with a proactive and curious mindset.</li> <li>Passion for trends and current news.</li> <li>Collaborative team player who can also work independently.</li> <li>Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Passion for media, social trends, and current news, including the evolving digital and influencer landscape.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><em>Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications</em></p></div><div class="title">NYC Salary Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$55,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$60,000 USD</span></div></div></div>
