Job Description:

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Production Planner at 3M Italy, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Being responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring manufacturing activities to ensure efficient resource utilization, on-time delivery, and inventory optimization.
• working closely with purchasing, logistics, quality, and operations teams to guarantee production continuity and alignment with company standards and customer requirements
• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and material availability.
• Analyze manufacturing capacity to identify constraints and propose optimization actions.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Track production progress and adjust schedules as required to meet delivery timelines.
• Prioritize production orders in accordance with sales forecasts and market demand.
• Maintain up-to-date production data within ERP/MRP systems and ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with Quality and Production departments to support efficient and compliant operations.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead times, efficiency, OTIF, Plant Backlog, Customer Aged BL capacity utilization.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in production planning or a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP/MRP systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools Power BI.
• Good command of English

Job specifics:

• Location: 3M Italy, Marcallo plant

• Travel expectations: occasionally up to 5%

• Office based: 4 days in the office
