- Direct patient care throughout the acute care episode (emergency room, pre-operative, operating room, post-anesthesia care unit, inpatient units)
- Care coordination between the physician office and facility team
- Care coordination between orthopedic service line and other service lines/departments
- Participate in hospital quality initiatives, improvement projects, and evidence-based practice implementation
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
3+ years as an advanced practice provider
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
5+ years as an advanced practice provider
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs).

EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelor's. Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Physician Assistant Training Program

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIRED
PA - NCCPA certified. Active Florida License
NP - Board-certified by ANCC/AANP. Active Florida License
BLS and ACLS
Eligibility for hospital privileges/credentialing and DEA registration
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Demonstrated proficiency in acute clinical assessment, evidence-based decision-making, and safe procedure performance
- Strong collaboration, communication, and systems-based problem-solving
- working knowledge of hospital workflows, interdisciplinary care, and discharge planning
- proficiency with EHR documentation, order entry, and clinical decision support tools
- Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, equity, and patient experience
