Position Summary |

|
Oversees activities related to the planning, purchasing, and logistics functions. Communicates performance targets associated with the process, measures actual performance, and implements corrective actions as required. Procures materials to fulfill material plan/demand. Participates in product development and on-going operations. Supports work related to new technologies and provides functional perspective to continual improvement and organizational strategy. Negotiates long term pricing, cost reduction activities, and manages approved suppliers. |

· High school diploma or equivalent plus 6+ years of experience in a purchasing environment, including 3 years in planning · An Associate’s degree will be considered as 2 years related work experience and a Bachelor’s degree will be considered as 4 years related work experience · Extensive experience with ERP/MRP systems |
· Experience with supplier sourcing, selection and negotiation · Experience with contract management · Experience with metrics and process management · Some continuing education coursework through an industry association (e.g. APICS, ISM) · Desired: Degree in electronics or business · Desired: CPM or CPIM |
