About this role

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our Supply Chain team at Jetseal, an aerospace manufacturing company. This entry-level role is designed for individuals interested in developing a career in purchasing and supply chain management. The Junior Buyer supports procurement activities by assisting with supplier coordination, purchase order management, and material availability to ensure uninterrupted production operations.

 

Procurement & Supply Chain Support

  • Assist in purchasing raw materials, hardware, components, and outside processing services from approved suppliers.
  • Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders in the ERP/MRP system in accordance with company procedures.
  • Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing, lead times, and supplier information.
  • Communicate with internal departments to understand material requirements and delivery priorities.
  • Monitor material availability and system signals to support reorder recommendations and prevent shortages.
  • Assist in resolving supplier discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, delivery, or quality in coordination with Quality and Supply Chain leadership.
  • Support cost tracking activities and assist with vendor performance evaluations.
  • Request and compile supplier quotes for materials and outside services.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in supply chain, business, logistics, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing support roles (aerospace experience preferred).
  • Basic understanding of purchasing processes, supplier management, and material planning concepts.
  • Experience working in ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently while supporting a team-based environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience working in AS9100- or ISO-certified environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITAR requirements and controlled material handling is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in both office and light manufacturing environments.
