About this role

Job Description:

The Department of Orthopedics at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at BIDMC, Inc. (HMFP) is seeking a residency trained and board certified or eligible orthopedic surgeon who will be the weekday primary resource and provider of care for patients who present in the Beth Israel Deaconess-Plymouth Hospital Emergency Department and on the inpatient areas and need the services of an orthopedist.  The selected candidate will also have an outpatient practice in general orthopedics, and for a surgeon with fellowship training as an opportunity to build a subspecialty practice.  The position will work in close collaboration with and have the support of the Division of Orthopedic Trauma from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School (HMS), and as such will include an opportunity to apply for an appointment at HMS. This is very dynamic position with a great deal of autonomy over daily practice with relaxed and flexible productivity and on-call requirements. 

BID-Plymouth Hospital is a successful full-service hospital that is part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health network in a beautiful and vibrant New England coastal community minutes away from Boston.

Pay Range:

$150,000 - $300,000

The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
