JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop minimum-executable work packages by defining clear scope, field-ready operation lines with estimated hours, required materials, and basic safety, access, and isolation requirements, and advance the SAP work order to REL system status and PRTS (Planner Ready to Schedule) user status only when it is executable.
  • Plan only approved, priority-aligned work that is expected to be scheduled within the next 2–3 weeks
  • Identify all required materials for each planned work order and verify with the Storeroom whether materials are on-hand, kitted, or must be procured, including validation of procurement lead times when parts are not stocked.
  • Until a schedule-ready backlog exists, the Planner may temporarily support scheduling to enable execution; scheduling ownership remains with the Scheduler.
  • Backlog cleanup and normalization.
  • Job plan optimization or library development.
  • Planning audits or standards enforcement.
  • Historical data correction.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or Industry-related degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years in plant maintenance or construction, emphasizing planning, scheduling, and management in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in SAP, maintenance scheduling tools, and reading construction drawings.
  • CMRP certification preferred for expertise in maintenance and reliability.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, leadership, and team-building abilities.
  • Understanding of mechanical and instrument process equipment and precision maintenance practices.
  • Diligence, reliability, cost awareness, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Hands-on experience with craft work in a plant environment.
