We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Co-op student to Equitable’s Client Impact Team. Our team plays a key role in helping the whole organization focus on keeping the client at the centre of all we do and building a better experience through decisions and insights. We also play a key role in strategic planning and our commitment to the Fair Treatment of Clients (FTC).

 

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting client impact initiatives, gathering insights on FTC metrics and supporting communication strategies that showcase our impact. This position is ideal for a student with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills who is eager to gain real-world experience in a professional setting.

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.



What you’ll do: 

  • Communications Support
    • Draft, edit, and distribute client-facing materials, including letters, emails, reports, and presentations.
    • Help create content for internal communication platforms.
    • Assist in maintaining and updating the company website with client-focused content.
  • Client Engagement and Impact Reporting
    • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data that demonstrates client impact.
    • Analyze client feedback and generate reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Administrative and Team Support
    • Support the coordination of meetings, including preparing agendas and recording minutes.
    • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned to support the team’s goals.

 


What you’ll bring:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary program that includes a Co-operative (Co-op) work component
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and web content management systems is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data collection and reporting.
  • Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with social media management is a plus.
