GENERAL DESCRIPTION 
  
Copart is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Automotive Detailer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, detailed, and prepared for presentation to potential buyers. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall appearance and appeal of our inventory. 
  
Position will work in a variety of climates such as possible extreme heat or cold, along with indoor and outdoor environments. 
  
Travel required to DFW for training 
  
  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Vehicle Preparation: Prepare vehicles for auction by performing thorough cleaning and detailing services, including washing, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming interiors and exteriors to restore their appearance and cleanliness. 
Interior Cleaning: Clean and sanitize vehicle interiors, including upholstery, carpets, dashboards, and windows, using appropriate cleaning products and techniques to remove dirt, stains, and odors effectively. 
Exterior Cleaning: Wash and polish vehicle exteriors to remove dirt, grime, and debris, and restore shine and luster to paint surfaces, using professional-grade cleaning products and equipment. 
Paint Correction: Perform paint correction and touch-up services to address minor imperfections, scratches, and blemishes, ensuring that vehicles present a flawless finish to potential buyers. 
Detailing Services: Perform additional detailing services as needed, such as engine bay cleaning, wheel and tire cleaning, and trim restoration, to enhance the overall appearance and value of vehicles. 
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure that vehicles meet Copart's standards and guidelines for cleanliness and presentation, making any necessary touch-ups or corrections as needed. 
Workflow Coordination: Coordinate with other team members, including Vehicle Inspectors, Photographers, and Auction Coordinators, to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient workflow throughout the detailing process. 
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean working environment, including proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals and adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (What is required to perform the Essential Duties?) 
  
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in automotive detailing or a related field preferred. 
  • Previous experience in automotive detailing, car washing, or related work preferred, with a strong understanding of detailing techniques and products. 
  • Knowledge of automotive cleaning products, equipment, and techniques, including paint correction, waxing, and interior cleaning, with a focus on achieving high-quality results. 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellence in all aspects of the detailing process, from cleaning and polishing to paint correction and touch-up. 
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods, in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
