About this role

Job Overview 综述

As a core role in Process Safety Management (PSM) system implementation, this position proactively collaborates with the Process Safety Program Owner to drive key PSM elements, risk control and team empowerment. It supports the company’s EHS compliance and safety excellence goals, as well as units in meeting the Celanese core principles, with an emphasis on proactivity and continuous growth.

Responsibilities 职责

  • Proactively maintain PSM elements (MOC/MOOC, PHA, PSI, Siting, incident management, audits, management reviews,  etc.) integrity in compliance with regulation and system requirements, pursue and drive continuously improving.
  • Identify gaps in local EHS laws and regulations and develop and track improvement plans to address them.
  • Coordinate internal process safety risk assessments, identify potential risks, develop actionable actions, and track implementation.
  • Promote employee process safety awareness via driving activities to enhance overall culture and engagement.
  • Independently compile/update basic PSM training plans, deliver relevant training and ensure effectiveness.
  • Facilitate and drive incident investigations, analyze root causes, summarize lessons and drive closed-loop corrective/preventive actions.
  • Support projects, cooperate with internal/external audits and drive rectification for compliance.
  • Proactively support units to achieve safety goals and respond to their process safety needs promptly.

    • Qualifications 要求

  • ducation & Major: Bachelor’s degree or above, preferred in Chemical Engineering, with a solid chemical engineering foundation.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 2 years in chemical industry process safety/EHS; familiar with chemical production and on-site safety management; prior process safety practice cases are a plus.
  • Professional Competence: Strong logical analysis and problem-solving abilities; proactive and thoughtful. Excellent learning ability to grasp HAZOP/LOPA basics and core PSM concepts, and apply theories under guidance.
  • Communication&Collaboration: Good communication, cross-departmental collaboration and presentation skills; able to engage stakeholders effectively. Self-driven to advance work and achieve goals.
  • Professionalism: Aligns with the company’s safety, health, environment and quality vision; complies with BCP; responsible, principled and adaptable with continuous learning awareness.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with local chemical design codes and EHS regulations; experience in PSM training, audit support or incident investigation is preferred.
