About this role

Overview

The Maintenance Expert - Analyzer position at Bishop is responsible for the execution of maintenance work on all analyzer equipment in the Production and Shipping areas with expectations to deliver on the Four Core Principles of Safety, Reliability, Quality, and Engagement.  In addition to having the responsibility of maintaining all Analyzer equipment, this role is expected to serve as the backup technician on Instrumentation at the site.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain online analytical instrumentation through preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions and assist with failure analysis.
  • Test and calibrate equipment and update drawing as necessary.
  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Failure Modes Event Analysis. (FMEA) and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) processes.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of hands on analyzer experience. Process gas chromatography a plus. 
  • Associates technical degree in instrumentation or 4 years experience in an industrial setting as an analyzer or instrumentation technician.          
  • Plant systems computer knowledge (email, word, excel, etc.) demonstrated use and practical knowledge of computer hardware.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting knowledge, maintenance repair experience, projects (new installation, revision, execution).
  • Chemical process experience.
  • Initiative and self-starter.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership, learning and development skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with production, engineering and project departments and coordinate contractors as needed.
  • Working knowledge of analyzers and associated equipment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Loveland and Beamex databases.
