About this role
Overview
The Advanced Technician is expected to execute injection molding in the processing lab to support Celanese technology development in a team environment. The Advanced Technician will need to understand polymer processing to improve, implement or fix processes in the laboratory.
Responsibilities
The primary functions of this position include but are not limited to:
- Set up, operate and improve molding processes for numerous products on various hydraulic, electric and hybrid machines.
- Support and provide technical input to research projects.
- Troubleshoot complex molding problems, with understanding of product and machinery technology.
- Perform mold changes, minor mold repair and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records in a Workflow Management Database
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment that follows safety/health related policies and procedures.
- Perform some equipment modifications, maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree or equivalent experience (i.e., minimum 4 years of experience on injection molding equipment)
