About this role

Job Description Summary:

The Design Engineer is responsible for researching, designing, and developing new products, systems, and manufacturing processes for Amphenol Energy Technologies. This role applies strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support product innovation, quality, and production efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and sustained focus in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications / Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) or related field 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related design engineering experience
  • Proficiency in CAD software and relevant engineering tools
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with electrical systems, cables, connectors, or power applications preferred

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Research new materials, components, and manufacturing processes
  • Design and develop prototypes and engineering solutions
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, models, and specifications
  • Analyze test data and validate design performance
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes and workflows
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams
  • Manage design-related production costs and efficiency
  • Oversee design implementation through production
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
